BELLINIS AT VICIOUS KITCHEN!


 

Bellinis are the best!  So easy to make.  All you need are a few simple ingredients and you will have a decadent, delicious and refreshing drink.  Perfect for Spring!  The weather has been starting to warm up, and I don't know about you but when the weather gets hot, all I want are easy, refreshing and delicious drinks!   
 
This weekend I made some Bellinis at Vicious Kitchen.  My friend Susie Q called and said she was coming over with a bottle of Champagne.  What??  Yes!  I was so happy.  A few weeks ago I tried a Bellini for the very first time at a bar in Los Angeles after a show at the Pantages Theater.  It was delicious.  I knew I had to try to recreate it and this was my chance!  
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 

INGREDIENTS:

1.  A LEMON WEDGE
2.  GRANULATED SUGAR
3.  PEACH JUICE
4.  CHAMPAGNE, CHILLED
 

DIRECTIONS:

1.  MOISTEN THE RIM OF A GLASS WITH A LIME WEDGE
2.  DIP THE RIM INTO SOME SUGAR
3.  ADD ONE PART PEACH JUICE
4.  ADD THREE PARTS CHAMPAGNE

 
 
 
 
 
Yes, you can make your own peach concoction in a blender if you want, and you can make perfect measurements of peach juice and champagne.  But you don’t have to.  Relax.  It’s Spring time, after all.

I would like to thank everyone who has taken the time to read the blog these past few months!  As I am writing this I am feeling a wave of optimism.  The weather is starting to warm up.  There are beautiful flowers everywhere.  Summer is coming, along with beach trips and vacations and birthdays.  I am so excited for the future. 

Secondly, I have an HTTH announcement.  We are going to be playing a show at the Rainbow Bar and Grill on May 5th.  Come out and party with us on Cinco de Mayo.  Let's celebrate Cinco de Mayo, or as we call it, "Drink-o de Mayo!!!"
