THIS IS CHUBAKA'S WORLD!

Chubaka is our little dog.  He is a rescue dog.  He is a pure bred Pekingese.  The Pekingese is an ancient breed of toy dog, originating in China. They are called Lion Dogs due to their resemblance to Chinese guardian lions!   He is our little lion!

  

Chubaka is a rescue dog.  We rescued him from the dog pound.  A few years ago, G decided he wanted to get a dog.  It took no time to convince me!  We knew we wanted a rescue dog and for it to be a little dog and we wanted a male.  So with that plan in mind we went straight to the pound. 

We walked around for a while.  Chubaka was one of the first dogs we saw.  He was the only dog that was not "out of control" and barking all over the place.  He just sat there.  He didn't even acknowledge us.  We thought he was so cool.  However, there was a sign on his cage that read "reserved until 2:30 p.m."  He had already been reserved by another family.  So we had to keep looking. 

We walked the whole pound!  We saw so many dogs, but came right back to Chubaka.  By then, it was about 3 p.m. and he was still there.  So, we asked if we could see him.  The assistant at the pound was super cool.  She told us he was ready to go!  Since he had been reserved, they had already prepared him with his shots and paperwork. 

She took us into a room, to make sure we all got along, and to make sure there was good chemistry.  We hit it off!  I mean, I already thought he was cool.  I liked that he was so tiny and so cute, but when I saw him do his Yoga pose..."standing warrior"...I was sold! All we had to do was pay the fees and we ran out of there!

Chubaka is the coolest little dog.  He really looks like a little lion! People are always asking, "where did you get that little lion?"



He is tiny.  He is fearless.  People love him.  He's a little rock star!  He even made a small cameo appearance in the music video "Hatred with A Smile" by Heavenly Trip To Hell!  Check it out! Hit play.

Best part about Chubaka is he loves us so much!  He is so cute, but he is very protective.  If people get too close, he will let them know.  If you know him, you know what I'm talking about.  He is the coolest little dog and I'm so glad we found him and rescued him from death row.
