MY NEW TATTOO!

 

 

I just recently got a new tattoo!  I spent one of those sunny LBC afternoons at Authentic Roots Tattoo designing and getting a tattoo done by tattoo artist Oscar Andrade.  I have been collaborating with Oscar Andrade on a few projects lately.  His work is amazing.  I remember getting my first tattoo back in the day.  I have been hooked ever since.  

 

It's tough to find the perfect tattoo with meaning.  Tattoos are very personal.  To me, they signify a form of art.  They also signify growth and travel.  I recently went to the Museum of Anthropology in Mexico City and I was inspired by an Aztec piece there.   It's called El Disco de la Muerte and it was found at the temple of the sun.  I also recently visited the temple of the sun in Teotihuacan, so  getting this tattoo was pretty surreal.  Almost dreamlike.

I went to Mexico City to give thanks to the sun god and the music god for all that I have been blessed with.  This is my way of giving thanks.  This is my way of honoring the Aztec gods. 

 

As you all know, I love playing music.  I'm going to be performing with Heavenly Trip to Hell this Friday night at the Rainbow in Hollywood.  We are celebrating Mojo El Diablo's birthday and my birthday.  There will also be performances by Brittney's Rage and the Hustle Holix!!
